USES:-
Metformin SR (Sustained Release) 500 mg is primarily used to manage Type 2 diabetes mellitus by lowering high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise are insufficient. It decreases glucose production in the liver, reduces intestinal absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity. It is also used off-label for PCOS management.
